This is my front entryway. It is full of funky junk and vintage stuff that is priced for sale. I live a few miles outside of the city limits, and several of my neighbors want to have a neighborhood garage sale in a couple of weeks. Hopefully the more houses that have sales, the more people will drive out here. Because I have collected a lot of fun items over the course of the last few months, I decided that I will join them. I plan to advertise it as a funky junk, vintage sale. I want to sell many of my vintage finds as well as a few of my pieces that I have refinished. I know that I need a different sort of customer than your normal garage sale person.
Since my Mom was here this weekend, we have been working hard on pricing items. I am pricing things lower than I would in my Etsy shop. I want to move these treasures. I have a lot of little things for $.25 that have collected in a box, on up to about $80 for my most expensive piece, a vintage Homer Laughlin Library cabinet. I don’t think I have shown it to you yet. I need to take a picture of it when I dig it out of my other items.
So have you ever had a tag sale on vintage items? I am a little nervous because I know that my sale won’t be for everyone. If you have had a tag sale before, any tips would be so appreciated.
