The flu bug sure can make for a change of plans. My oldest son got the flu last Friday. Nothing too bad, but enough to keep him down for a while. He still doesn’t have his strength back completely. Then the past Wednesday Big M, my other son and I all got the flu on the SAME DAY. Never had that happen before. Not fun when three of you are all down and out. I even had to miss Z’s swim meet on Friday. Well we did survive, but even today, we are not feeling back to normal. Still not a lot of energy.
Originally we planned to head to Dickinson today. We were going to leave the boys at my sister’s house, and Big M and I were going out for a wonderful meal, Tom and Jerry’s, and dancing till midnight. Well, we just couldn’t do it. With no appetite and me getting tired walking up the stairs, it just wasn’t going to happen. The sad thing is last year we got stormed out and had to change the same plans. I guess there is always next year.
So right now, all four of us are watching Kung Fu Panda 2, Then we will play a little fooseball or pool and maybe a card game. I have a feeling we will all be in bed early, but that is ok. The best part is we are all together, laughing…it is a cute movie, even if I didn’t see the first one.
So did you get to do Plan A or did you have to move to Plan B for New Year’s Eve? Good bye 2011.
