Sunday Still Life – Spider

See that not so tiny spider in my tomato patch.  This guy has been our guest for over 6 weeks, growing as he captures and eats grasshoppers and other bugs.  He is getting quite large about 4 inches or so, but I do not mind him.  He is always in the same spot so I know where he is, and he eats other yucky bugs.

We have fun catching grasshoppers, throwing them in his web, and watching him spin a web around his prey.  It really is an amazing sight to see.  He will be gone soon with the frost season upon us.

Would you have left in your garden?

I love hearing your thoughts, please leave a comment.
