It is no secret…I love long summer days. One of the saddest days of the year is June 21 because that means the daylight hours will start to decrease. Around here, the summer comes up about 5:50 a.m. Since I sleep with my windows open, the robins like to wake me around 5:20. They seem to think, you must be up before sunrise.
The sun sets around 9:40 p.m.; right behind my neighbor’s house. Love that I go to bed and there is still light in the western sky. So every year I try to capture a sunset photo around the longest day of the year. Let me tell you I am trying hard to enjoy the long summer days, but they are going so fast.
Do you do something to celebrate the longest day of the year?
