Dollar Store Scrapbook Finds

Look at the haul I picked up at The Dollar Store on Main in Mandan a couple of days ago.  I hadn’t been there for a few weeks and had a few minutes.  The owner had just finished putting out new stock.  I walked out with 20 new items for $20. Here are some close ups.

W R Memory Keepers Stickers and 4×6 paper stacks to match.

Also some Basic Grey Ribbon Dollies and Pops.

And some Basic Grey Small Details.

Now all I need is some time to scrap.

Bridal Shower Gift

I so enjoy linking up to a Would You Buy It Wednesday at Junker Newbie, but I have nothing today.  I spent 4 days in Minnesota over the long holiday weekend with my two sisters and Mom.  We shopped, scrapped and chatted till we dropped.  No thrifting at all. Great weekend.  So instead, a quick upcycling item.

My niece is getting married this month.  Actually it was her birthday yesterday…Happy Birthday, Lynae.  I am so happy for her and her future husband.  She had a bridal shower last month.  One of the things I gave her was this….

I forgot to take a before photo, but it was a photo frame from the dollar section at Target last October.  It was purple, black and orange striped.  I painted it Turquoise.  Their wedding colors are Turquoise, Bright Pink and Black.  I found some Bright Pink paper and added Scrabble tiles for their names.

A couple of other scrapbook supplies, and I was done.  I thought it sure turned out cute. I was lucky they both had a “y” in their names.

Dollar Store Scrapbook Finds

I had a few minutes yesterday when I was in Mandan so I stopped at Dollar Store of Mandan.  As soon as I walked in my heart dropped.  Right by the door were Donna Downey’s scrapbooking books.  The books came out several years ago.  I always thought they were cute but not completely my scrapbooking style, so I didn’t buy them for the $15 sales price.  But now they were at Dollar Store.  Yep $1 each.  I had to grab them.

Then I walked back to the scrapbooking section and whoa, they had just received a shipment in.  I found all of this for $14.

I got some cute Making Memories journal books, stickers, tape and brads as well as Heidi Swapp tape.

I also found 3 We R Memory Makers stickers.

There is even a small K&Company pad of paper.

I say it was worth the stop.  I paid less for all 14 items then I would have for one of the books a few years back.  I don’t mind because it is all new stuff to me. Now I am anxious to get scrapping; where can I make the time?

Have you found anything fun at the Dollar Store lately?
