Harrison Fisher 1929 (edited)

Edited:  Thanks to Stacy at Junkism for giving me information on Harrison Fisher.

I ran across this watercolor painting in my junkin’ hunts this week.  The stunning face of this woman drew me in for a closer look.  I think the artist created an amazing face of a 1920’s woman.  I love the shape, the expression, the detail.

Upon closer inspection I found the print to be signed.

From what I can tell it is a “Tomson Fisher” 1929.  I have tried to research this artist, and I can not find anything.  I would love to know more.  Did Fisher paint any other paintings?  Was this a one and only? Amateur painter?  Doesn’t look like it to me. Is there a story behind this painting?

The frame isn’t in the best condition. It has a label on the back, “Grand Leader, Sixth and Wash Ave, St. Louis”. I am trying to decide if I want to take it out of the frame.  I really think I am going to keep this one, at least for a while.

Have you heard of a Tomson Fisher, or am I reading the signature wrong?  If you have any information, I would love to know.
